Page & Pause is a local-first macOS writing and layout tool with optional iCloud Drive sync. It does not require an app account, does not connect to a developer content server, and does not collect user data.

Data Collection

We do not collect, sell, share, rent, or transmit your drafts, images, settings, usage analytics, diagnostics, identifiers, contact information, or any other personal data through the app.

Local Storage

The app stores drafts, images, custom CSS, themes, and settings locally on your Mac through the app's WebKit storage container. This local data is used only to provide app functionality on your device.

Optional iCloud Drive Sync

If you enable iCloud Sync, the app mirrors drafts and referenced images to your private Apple iCloud Drive container so they can appear on devices signed in to the same Apple ID. The developer does not operate this service, cannot access your private iCloud container, and does not receive the synchronized content. You can leave synchronization disabled and continue using the editor and exports offline.

Network Access

The app does not require login, telemetry, advertising, analytics, or a developer-hosted network service. Optional synchronization uses Apple's iCloud Drive only when you enable it.

Images And Documents

Images you paste or import are stored locally and embedded during copy or export. Exported Word, PDF, HTML, and Markdown files are created on your Mac after you choose a destination in the native save panel.

Third Parties

The app does not include third-party advertising SDKs, analytics SDKs, or tracking SDKs.
